I don't mean to be Polyanna-ish, but history is littered with examples of change being collectively forced on rulers who think themselves omnipotent, often starting from things that seem small, and examples of strongmen overreaching towards their doom. In fact that *is* the paradigm, on the whole.

This is the current front page of the Times. The Washington Post is even worse. Their headlines are privileging the accounts of the administration with a track record of lying as being as valid as eye witness accounts and videos.

By driving away all of our closest allies, Trump is making America weak and insecure.

Bluster and bullying do not equal strength--in international relations any more than on the elementary school playground where Trump's brain is.

Strength comes from having friends willing to stand up for you.

After 9/11, the US invoked Article 5 of the NATO treaty and every NATO member helped to combat terrorism.

Some of our closest allies, like Denmark, went even further, voluntarily sending troops to Afghanistan and Iraq in support of US-led wars there.

Today, Trump is threatening to attack Denmark.
