In a similar vein, avoid crossing frozen water bodies while drunk and be mindful of the possible presence of ice fishing holes.

Also, pressure ridges are a thing and hitting one (e.g. going fast on a snow mobile) can be deadly.

Disabled people understand this is a group effort; why many of us have desperately tried to inform the public of the inevitable outcome of letting severe contagious disease go unmitigated.

We tried our best to warn you, do not blame us for being correct.

We are just trying to save your lives. 😷

Disabled people are not your enemy when in fact we are a forerunner group fighting for public health right now and have been for years.

We are fighting for the future while being disabled, isolated and really really fucking tired.

Mask up, Kyle, because it’s about to get fucking real.

The doctors office is such a high risk now and it was to begin with. We get harassed in public. The main reason I don’t go out much anymore is because of how gross people have behaved towards me and I live in a very very liberal city which says a lot about very very liberal cities.

I’m starting to see just how everyone is distorted by trauma and freaking out about the inevitability of more plagues.

Many people do not understand how much worse this has gotten for people who are high risk for severe illness, from like any illness or virus.

I think at least some of it’s people who’ve never actually heard a gun outside a movie freaking out about any loud noise. I live near UT, a relatively safe area, but one where people are prone to shooting off fireworks, and any time someone does I get an email about hearing gunshots in the area

This is 100% driving the perception that crime is on the rise because every single minor property crime or petty theft is shared as an update worthy of a push notification. I always wonder too what the "was that a gunshot?" genre of post is meant to accomplish.

A couple months ago I was riding my bike on Burnett an very clearly heard a nail gun and then a few minutes later got an email from Nextdoor, which I don’t remember signing up for and have definitely unsubscribed from, from someone saying they heard gunshots in the area
