The University Council has appointed Professor Julia Bielicki as clinical professor of pediatric clinical pharmacology.
Her research focuses on international, multicentric interventional studies in pediatric clinical pharmacology with a focus on antibiotic therapy.

Professor Alex Schier, Director @biozentrum.unibas.ch, has received an Advanced Grant for his developmental biology project, “Selforganize”. It addresses the fundamental question of how body axes develop in the embryo and how this determines the positions of different organs.

In vertebrates, the skeleton of different regions of the body arises from different precursor cells. Researchers @tschopplab.bsky.social have now discovered that these skeletal cells do not just differ in their developmental origin, but also in their gene regulation.
