IHI call 11 topic spotlight A platform to unravel brain dysfunction beyond classical disease boundaries Find out more ihi.europa.eu What’s the problem? Some diseases, such as Alzheimer’s, depression and schizophrenia share common symptoms involving the brain’s mechanisms of reward / motivation and impulsivity. The underlying biological drivers of disease in people with these symptoms could be similar. What do we want you to do? Establish a collaborative data platform to understand the common biological bases of these symptoms and identify biomarkers and tools to measure how they change in clinical trials. This could contribute to a change in the way these disorders are diagnosed and treated.
