Everyone can help to create safer parks. That's why this initiative offers free training in the #5Ds to park staff to equip them with the skills to intervene safely. It uses scenarios from our research with women and girls to encourage bystander intervention to tackle harassment in green spaces.

Harassment is a pervasive issue in public spaces, and our research shows that parks are no exception. It contributes to women and girls feeling unsafe in these vital public spaces, as does a lack of confidence that others will step in to help when it happens. essl.leeds.ac.uk/education-so...
