Am still ill, although brain-fog has mostly gone. Decided to take the afternoon off to allow guilt-free recuperation. Bliss.

Nems went for my hand this morning, trying to get me to go do the wet food. Sadly, I was cradling my hot lemon/honey/ginger drink in that hand. She didn’t scratch, but she did startle me and I ended up with a face of hot drink.
Wet food did not happen until after I cleaned up & changed clothes.

Busy morning! Cat litter has been changed; first laundry load is running; big bedroom carpet has been vacuumed and steam-cleaned; veggies prepped to make coleslaw; soffrito prepped and used to start a chili con carne (which is now simmering on the hob).

Lost most of yesterday to a lurgy-induced nap. Determined to not let germs win today, so the second laundry load is running, toilet and bathroom floor have been cleaned. Having a coffee while debating what to tackle next. Honestly, I think it has to be the kitchen…

•finish the Killer Sudoku daily challenge
•start blocking my cardigan
•knit a bit more on my experimental top (top-down raglan using worsted held triple & 10mm needles)
That’ll be a good day.

By far the best bit of today has been Leeloo deciding my folded blankets (plus a tank top I accidentally felted) are an acceptable throne. She’s been loafed, sprawled, and sleeping on it and purring like mad!

I managed 9 hours of mostly-asleep last night & it seems to have been beneficial. I’ve hung up the paused laundry load, started off a 2nd and queued up a 3rd. & I’ve done the hand-washing-up, and started cleaning the oven.
WTH!? Is this how well-rested is *supposed* to feel?!
