Sincerely wonder what would have happened if Biden had pulled an FDR and tried to flex real power to exert his will unflinchingly, e.g., court packing and not recognizing invalid SCOTUS decisions or issuing EOs that extended way past traditional executive reach unrelentingly.

For me, having jobs where I have to talk to people, but with a somewhat established script (food service, retail, organizing) has helped quite a bit. You always know what you can say next if confronted with a confusing statement, but there's also room for freestyling if you're comfortable.

If we want our political energy to be constructive, we have to be strategic. It further entrenches the culture war to make the same simplistic points again and again. It's harder to observe, analyze and create effective messaging, but worth it imo.

100%. Watching Sharon's Temple Mount stunt and then the second intifada on CNN made me dig deeper and research the history, after being told my whole life it's basically a primitive thousand year old conflict about religion. People notice when the images conflict with the reporting so starkly.
