70,000 HE academic staff.

Almost half of teaching only staff.

Two-thirds of research-only academic staff.

ALL on fixed term contracts.

This isn’t flexibility, it’s exploitation.

Live tomorrow at 7 PM we expose the hypocrisy at the top of HE: youtube.com/live/rZRbCP0YJ…

😡 Labour on employment tribunal fees 😡

Charging workers for employment tribunal claims would drive a coach and horses through the government's Employment Rights Bill with bad employers being let off the hook.

As millions of workers struggle to put food on the table, Tesco is raking in huge amounts of cash and paying out whopping dividends to shareholders.

Tesco has profited from the cost-of-living crisis, making a fortune through unfairly inflating grocery prices.

📺 "This does not feel like Labour. Picking the pocket of pensioners, leaving the super-rich totally untouched. Having two refineries close in less than a year and no plan for jobs. That is what Labour needs to focus on now" @unitesharon.bsky.social Talking to Trevor Phillips

Until the government starts taking in a radically new direction, it will continue crashing in the polls. It could – and must – act differently!  @theguardian.com

🔌 The UK has some of the highest energy bills in Europe & next week the energy price cap will hit £1,755 / year for a typical household - 42% up on Winter 2021/22.
😡 Meanwhile, research for the End Fuel Poverty Coalition shows energy Co’s profits since the bills crisis began at a staggering £514 bn!

What are the choices that Labour are making? Picking the pockets of pensioners and leaving the totally rich untouched, having two oil refineries close with no plans for jobs. People are starting to leave Labour in their droves. #LabourPartyConference

Workers pay more than their fair share in a rigged system. A wealth tax would make sure the rich contribute, funding schools, healthcare & public services instead of hoarding wealth 💰
It’s time to take real action and invest in our communities and drive real growth

The number of unstable zero-hour contracts has risen 500% since 2010! Tried planning your life, paying your rent, getting a mortgage when you don't know when you're working or what you'll be earning?
@teamlabouruk.bsky.social needs to ban Zero Hours. No ifs. No buts. Just a ban 🚫

Inflation is once again on an upward curve. Since 2021, prices have increased 30% faster than wages. Many workers are still struggling to put food on the table.

The govt needs to face up to reality, stop the profiteering and get more money into the pockets of everyday people.

🚨 Unite refuses to nominate any candidate in Labour deputy leadership election

Britain needs change, not more of the same. Workers are leaving labour in droves, tinkering will not stem the tide.

This election does not offer the alternative that Britain needs. For everyday people, it's irrelevant.

💰 Shareholders of these companies pocketed £662bn in cash payouts

Workers in #Birmingham paying for a crisis not of their making!

This is the incompetence of the council, £90 million over budget for a failed I.T. system that still does not work. Racked up debt of over £3bn. Bin workers and residents paying the price!
Thousands rally in Birmingham to support striking bin workers
