Incidentally I would go further and replicate the idea in each circuit too, and add district judges into the pool of justices.

As for having 1 judge per circuit, I think it may make more sense to randomly draw judges and cap it at 2 or 3 judges a circuit rather than select 1 from each.

It wouldn't be appealing, no. Just like a lot of the Constitution isn't very appealing to them, admittedly.

But it isn't constitutionally suspect in that all this does is "promote" additional judges in a way little different to court reform adding 2 justices onto the court.

In other words, because Waymos are a readily identifiable class, every time *any* Waymo messes up the problem is attributed to *all* Waymos much more readily than a human attributes every human accident to the much more omnipresent and less "distinctive" class of "all human drivers".

It's a similar associational fallacy to saying "5 X-team football fans got in a drunken brawl this week, ergo X team is full of hooligans" (even though the police also arrested 45 non-supporters, with no distinct collective identity between them, for the same behaviour).
December 5, 2025 at 5:20 PM
To which all accidents are collectively attributed, and one ends up mistaking "1000 Waymos caused 2 accidents" for "each Waymo is linked to 2 accidents," meaning that to have the same level of safety perception, Waymos would in actual fact have to be safer by, in the hypothetical, a factor of 1000.
December 5, 2025 at 5:20 PM
I would argue that that's a cognitive bias.

Say you have a random pool of 1000 drivers. Let's say that in a year 2 of them run someone over and cause death or serious injury. Then take a pool of 1000 Waymos with exactly the same accident rate.

In people's perception the Waymos form a single group

That's definitely a general issue in American law. I was at a panel of US public lawyers once where they twice hit what seemed to them to be insoluble conceptual barriers or quandaries which could in fact be greatly enlightened by reference to foreign law, something which never occured to anyone.

TMST (old ES): c. 750 (400m)
Class 374 (new ES): c. 900 (400m)
Avelia TGV-M (Inoui layout): c. 600 (200m), so x 2 for 400m.

TGV-M is however quite (too?) dense compared to ES current stock, no 1st class galleys etc, so ES would probably have fewer seats to fit those in.

The cynic in me says: "She filed a defective indictment to get 6 months more on the statute of limitations, 18 USC § 3288, and possibly even try and broaden the indictment (which is precluded by current precedent)."

On the other hand, I'm not sure she's heard of §3288.

Non :

The Issues and Legal Controversies of Food Waste from Antiquity to the Present Day
Households on every continent wasted more than a billion meals a day in 2022, while 783 million people were affected by hunger and a third of humanity faced food insecurity. Food waste continues to harm the global economy and fuel climate change and pollution as well as the degradation of nature. These are the main findings of a report by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) released today, ahead of the International Zero Waste Day. 1 Food waste is a global tragedy. Indeed, millions of people are going hungry today because food is wasted around the world. Our research therefore touches on a current problem and concrete answers will provide solutions that have not been thought of and implemented. This thesis examines the issue of food waste from antiquity to the present. The analysis is based on legal and historical standpoint. More specifically, it seeks to identify correlation between the rise of poverty and an outmoded and unregulated agri-food system. The objective is to examine and define the nature of food waste. As well, to address its various issues and consequences. To underscore the dysfunctions, particularly in large-scale distribution. Also, to catalog the extensive legislative and regulatory measures regarding the waste management and prevention. The differences between these various projects and states from across the world will also be compared in this study. Our results highlight many options that can improved regulation. These options include: field work with various political, social, legal, and agri-food industry players. As well as analyzing various diagrams and scientific and legal data. ln order to lessen hunger occurring from the supply chain constitutes of producers, distributors, and consumers. As a result, we are proposing a more ethical paradigm for the global food chain. Hunger remains a global crisis, with staggering statistics highlighting the paradoxical coexistence of food waste and food insecurity. Despite advancements in food production, distribution, and preservation, a significant portion of the world's population still suffers from hunger and malnutrition.
