The thing about dementia is that all the money in the world won’t stop it. The rich just die in nicer beds. It’s an equalizer. Some poor people die surrounded by love. Some rich people die scared, confused and alone.

Same. Subscribed for three decades. I cancelled long after I should have and that was before all of this. It’s a travesty, a death.

My mom did well on a MoCA during a time when she was spending ~$1,000/week at the grocery store and calling me at 2 am asking why it was dark outside.

Everyday I feel like kissing the ground because I’m not raising my kid in a state governed by christofascist assholes.

This guy’s wealth probably grows $200-400K /per day. It’s astonishing that even the dumbest American listens to a word these assholes say. They are not of us. They float above us on a different plane of extravagance, where massive wealth compounds. They’re up in the Ferris wheel. We’re the dots.

These guys are all such liars and it’s so obvious he’s being Weekend At Bernied, at this point until proven otherwise it should just be assumed he’s receiving an IV dementia med. www.alz.org/alzheimers-d...

Carmex may have done some half-assed shoveling, but it’s mostly 125 feet of packed down ice now, 4 days latter. My 311 ticket has no update, will probably get closed out. City leaving money on the table. My 81-year-old neighbor’s sidewalk is clear, but these slobs can’t for kids walking to school.

Having a kid hit home for me how our built environment is designed to rob him of any freedom. Lived and walked in U.S, cities for 35 years and I feel like it’s never been worse. A combo of 1950s design, bloated vehicles, screens, and increasing assholery. A block from his school at drop-off time.

LOL I’m on an Ohare bound Blue Line at Jackson. No communication whatsoever from TO, station attendants, or automated PA. You’d think it was just another day. My wife got on at Chicago and said they waited a long time and started moving ~10 min ago.

Ald. Dick Mell should never live down his infamous quote “How many of us read the stuff we do get, OK? I try to. I try to. I try to. But being realistic, being realistic, it’s like getting your insurance policy. It’s small print, OK?”

This one’s from a few years back and is my all-time favorite. I had to add a dollar to the swear envelope that day. My son has about $50 in the swear envelope and will tell you it all comes from Daddy yelling at drivers.

Once at this intersection a driver who blocked it was pulling forward as we were about to go around her vehicle. She was, of course, gazing down at her phone. My son yelled “GET OFF YOUR PHONE!” I high-fived him. A grown person irresponsibly operating a two-ton SUV, schooled by a child.

Chicago drivers are so profoundly stupid when it comes to blocking intersections, I’m sometimes amazed they can even muster the brain cells required to breathe. Here’s one with a monster truck and my man randomly dropping a “6-7!”

I keep sticking these on a signal control box in my Chicago neighborhood, along a dangerous Illinois DOT controlled road that we have to cross to get to our park. The city keeps painting over the stickers and I keep adding them. Here’s what crossing is like. I have indoctrinated my six-year-old.
