Even the worst, most absurd, tyrannical-circle-jerk-raining-on-your-democracy-parade kind of days feel better when you get to watch the sunset.
POV from the shoreline of a lake. The sun is setting behind a dark line of pine trees on the other side, splitting the scene in half. A sliver of orange between their branches gives way to a vibrant red lighting up the waves of soft clouds above before eventually fading to wisps of purple and pink. The pale blue of the camera-shy PNW sky just barely peaks out from behind its cloud covers, as if it's sneaking one last glance at its reflection on the glowing lake. Swimming across the liquid sunset below, a pair of ducks enjoy a more romantic view on their routine journey back to their nest for the night. There's also a few thin branches in the foreground poking out of the top left edge because I'm tall and crouching in bushes is uncomfortable. Tl;dr: pretty sunset on a lake with two duckies. Similar vibes to a warm hug on a cool evening.

Since we're just renaming things now, I'd like to pitch updating Cape Disappointment to Cape Disappointed in America.
