And now I've started my second piece - a honeycomb stitch sample. It's so cool!
A small strip of bobbin lace (bucks point) being worked on a pillow. Three repeats of honeycomb ground are visible before pins obscure the working edge. There is a reference photo next to the pricking.

First piece of bucks point lace. A couple of mistakes (that I can spot - maybe more I haven't noticed!) but I'm pretty happy with it

These cockatoos perched on the rotary clothesline - I thought they might figure out how to turn it into a fun ride - then enjoyed the birdbath. 🪶

I'm at the coast for a couple of days. Seeing whales from the shore never gets old!
A whale watch boat is stopped to watch whales. A whale is spouting between the boat and the shore. Some low shrubs are visible in the foreground, but most of the picture is sea and sky. A tiny-looking whale tail in the middle of what is otherwise a picture of fairly calm sea.

A beginner's piece of bucks point ground (point ground) bobbin lace being worked next to a photo of what it is meant to look like. The lace is worked in white thread, sitting on a green card with the pricking (pattern). Approximately the lower third of the strip of lace is obscured by the working pins.

Tomorrow is wattle day. Canberra is a glorious riot of yellow blossom - this one is growing in our garden.
