Cooking for yourself is nice but after a certain point it feels lonely sitting at the table by yourself...we cook not to receive but to share with people! And when you've experienced too much of that you stop wanting to cook altogether because you don't want to experience that loneliness again.

Anyway listen fandom is a communal endeavour. if you enjoy a fic, leave a comment. If you enjoy art, tell the artist. If you want to see more of a ship or fandom, support the people making art for it. Nothing feels worse than making art & words that seem to connect with nobody. It feels empty.

I've been creating art professionally for nearly three decades.
I've had clients get pushy if their commission isn't done by the next day.
Artists are human. Art takes time and energy to create. Many of us have jobs outside of our art.
Don't be that guy.

Artists frequently work on multiple pieces at a time. If an artist finishes something while you're waiting on a commission, they are NOT forgetting you.
