Half through Pandemonium Waltz and between tales I keep thinking about @usmantm.bsky.social's Midnight Doorways from a few years ago. So now it's going to be a new-read, re-read double header. A one-two home run.

He said he never got truly mad and was a genuinely nice guy. They chatted at Nicky's all the time; and his wife was a fill-in for some of the scenes in The Langoliers.
And here I was just bemoaning the red tape of medicine.
