Idk if it’s easier, the thin strips are super easy to weave, but maybe apple needs to trap more steam inside to cook properly, with all that pectin (idk, we don’t grow apples down here, so not my go to …), whereas strawberry rhubarb (my specialty), needs all the evaporation it can get #pienerd
