An Israeli soldier who was stationed along the Netzarim Corridor wrote a piece for Haaretz. He details how they don't really know what they're doing there, and just destroy countless homes.

You are raising an important pt that these courses are not a solve for getting women to leadership positions. Which is very true. This shouldn’t absolve orgs of the responsibility to get more women leaders. But I’m personally not bothered by them offering these though. Except that it’s not enough.

5. Money: We rarely buy things for them if they are wants and not needs. If they insist, we try and figure out how they might earn or save money. My daughter now notices the value of money often when we buy anything at the store and seems to be developing an intrinsic sense of value vs price.

4. Kindness: Their teachers often tell me my kids are very empathetic. We practice it at home. Showing concern for each other is how they get their practice. We do donations and help them notice how fortunate they are relative to many others.

3. Boredom: They get boundaries but within that they get a ton of freedom. My kids never say they are bored. They figure out ways to keep themselves entertained even w/o TV/media. They also never get unsupervised media.

2. Chores: An NYTimes article about chores in Mayan households taught us this. We did chores as a family. They pitched in the best they could. Now they consider the chores as just a normal part of family life. It’s not a punishment nor a reward. It’s just what you do to live at home.

1. Multi-linguality: We are a tri-lingual household and initially we thought we’d have to pick one language we speak to the kids until a fellow mom told us each parent could just pick one language they exclusively speak to the kids. We did that and our kids picked up both languages.
