Probably this may not be completely straightforward (what is the piezzo sensitivity for receiving the echo; the piezzo needs to get 'quiet' before receivin the echo) but couple of experiments with an osciloscope may give us some answers.

The cost of model hopping is non-zero but I may give it a try with other models. I am hoping to see some serious improvements in version 3 though.
