Another timely reminder that what we've been seeing over the past 5 years is a systematic and intentional dismantling of the videogame industry by the executive money-hoarder class.
In addition to the roughly 100 job cuts we reported earlier today at Respawn Entertainment, EA has made wider cuts across its organization today, impacting around 300 individuals total.

I mean call (if you can) write (if you can't call) to your reps but *also* make them miserable. Turn up at Town Halls and ask awkward questions. See them in the street or a restaurant, badger them about what they're doing to push back. Book time with them and talk in person, turn up at protests...
i feel like ao3 should be the least of our concerns—this is a very clear attempt to erase queer history.

Friends that live in USA, if you can take action to help ao3 please do so, the site is being targeted to be censored in the name of "protecting minors" when its an excuse to ban LGBT stuff.
