I feminized my middle name because it was a family name and I thought that might garner some goodwill. Instead, my mom told me she would never name me that, and my dad was indifferent. If it weren't such a pain in the ass to go through the name change process again, I'd change it to Marie.

I don't generally like to comment on peoples' appearances (though I know I often slip up), but it's kind of shocking how Republicans just "look" evil. It's kind of like how you can see difference in the eyes in transition timelines, but instead of light in their eyes, it's just cold, unfeeling evil.

Looks like I have to sign in on desktop and flip a switch. I don’t have discord installed on my desktop; I don’t use it on anything but mobile, but I guess I gotta go grab my laptop and set up discord so I can fix discord on my phone. Ridiculous.

Finally: AI cannot do your job, but an AI salesman can 100% convince your boss to fire you and replace you with an AI that can't do your job, and when the bubble bursts, the money-hemorrhaging "foundation models" will be shut off and we'll lose the AI that can't do your job, and you will be long gone, retrained or retired or "discouraged" and out of the labor market, and no one will do your job.
AI is the asbestos we are shoveling into the walls of our society and our descendants will be digging it out for generations:
