This will ensure that I'm keeping you all in the loop while not burning myself out. While my goal remains to publish this book sometime this summer, I do need to temper my expectations in light of urgent matters outside of the author world.

I plan to publish this WIP no later than June, and am using this date as motivation to complete the draft so I can move the process along and finish in time.

I grew up in LA county as well. About 1.5 hours drive north, but as a kid I remember seeing the ash falling from the sky whenever the fires down in LA got really bad.
