Dude!! I was just going through the same thing. I feel like basic, nice, rugged, simple shoes are DEAD. Everything now is just this paper thin, multicolored garbo that has so many stitch lines it falls apart in 3 months.

My hands were wet and soapy. Launched that sucker right off.
THANK GOD it hit the ground with a loud TING and I was able to locate it.

Front diff, drivers side needle bearing is shot.
Time to do a ECGS Bushing upgrade. The needle bearings on these are junk.
More than likely wrecked the surface of the CV axle as well. Probably will do both.
