So, if Deki were cleared you would be okay with the sale? And without Deki, my answer would be Odobert. If Oxford want to pay over 4m for Donley, that seems like a gift to be honest. I don't really understand why they would anger you as much as the OP seem to imply.

Where would you play Brennan? On the left? Brennan isn't that good of a player. He's fine, but not a top player. The Donley reaction honestly is a bit over the top no? I didn't see reports on a buy option (share?), but, even if that were true, is Jamie Donley really the last straw?

If only that were the only thing the Adams executive order said...

I am happy to judge Frank's attacking concepts if he had players I had any faith in consistent attacking conversion. I want to see what he produces when he has Deki/Dom and then hopefully they add a left sided attack-minded talent.

Good. Inconsistent, but good one-dimensional player. It is money that we can use for other needs. We cannot go back in time on Kudus. Hoping Deki returns, takes the RW spot from Kudus. I'd rather have Yang play that 3rd depth role and use funds from BJ to find more talent that we need elsewhere.
January 2, 2026 at 4:21 PM
No doubt. But that was his attacking unit with a budget nowhere near what Spurs have. Brentford starting XI was good. Frank did that. But it takes time. Their depth due to budget was the issue. Reality is, Spurs squad is closer to Brentford quality than Arsenal quality.

Since Kane, we brought in: BJ (x), Mads, vdV, Porro, Deki, Vic, Dom, Gray, Odobert, Lucas, Xavi, Kudus, Tel, Danso, Luka. Would you agree that Mads, Deki, and Dom are the best "now" attacking players we have signed since Kane? And players like Gray/Lucas/Xavi/Luka/Tel are more long-term solutions?

Which players is he responsible for driving the value down on?
January 2, 2026 at 3:08 PM
Serious question for you. You want to compete for Europe *right now*, and do so for the next 3 seasons. Would you rather an attacking front 4 of Wissa-Schade-Damsgaard-Mbeumo or Richy-RKM or Odobert-Xavi-Kudus?
January 2, 2026 at 3:00 PM
I respect that you pay to go see the team, and it is not a good experience. But, I think if we have an honest look at the club we have to agree that the squad needs a massive overhaul to reach expectations no? That won't happen overnight. We have to be willing to see a project through.
January 2, 2026 at 2:56 PM
In the EPL, our attacking starts from Feb-May were: Tel (10), Odobert/BJ (7), Son/Deki/Madders/Solanke (6), Richy (3), Moore (2). If you look at the performances, Spurs were not very good in attack/conversion. The squads we used when we were "resting for UEL" were *better* than what we have now.

I am not blindly loyal to Frank. Wasn't to Ange, or Conte either. My issue is, we consistently see the same mistakes, from the same players. Bad passing, bad crosses, over-dribbling. In terms of the hierarchy of problems, a new Manager won't improve this squad. New players will.
January 2, 2026 at 12:39 AM
This is key. For players like Bergvall, Gray, Xavi, Tel, and Odobert we have to remember that mistakes will happen as they develop. The problem is, they are 4 of our best starting XI right now. We need to surround them with better, more consistent players. Deki/Solanke will help. But we need more.

Yep. If you go here: theanalyst.com/opta-footbal... and click the Dashboard. You can see a lot of charts. Specifically look at successful/unsuccessful dribbles (Kudus/Spence), success/unsuccess open play crosses (Spence/Porro), and success/unsuccess pass.

There is not a Manager out there that is coming into Spurs and looking at the best XI with Richy/Odobert/Kudus are the main attacking threats and turning this team into anything significant. The problem is the squad. Fix the squad. Fix the recruitment. Stop pretending the Manager is the fix.

I have never used Rensie, will check it out. I would recommend WTCS, SaS or Tato. I get the skins you're comfortable with are enjoyable but in an effort to make 24 feel different, and almost like a new game, a new skin can do that very well.
January 1, 2026 at 11:38 PM
"I think the amount of unforced errors is the biggest negative, I would say."

And I would 100% agree. Turn the sound off, take your emotion out and watch what players do with the ball as we move forward. The passes are really bad. The players we rely on to create consistently fail.
January 1, 2026 at 11:34 PM
What skin are you using?
January 1, 2026 at 11:28 PM
Here's the thing for me. Whatever the "excuse" for this league form was, the fact is we had MORE or the same quality playing in these matches as we do now. Tel had the most starts, then Odobert/BJ. After that? Son/Deki/Madders/Solanke who are now replaced by RKM/Kudus/Xavi/Richy.
January 1, 2026 at 11:27 PM
Or a striker that can hold the ball up. Or wingers that can create chances. The best players on our available team right now are both defenders. What do people expect when you're attacking players who are bench players for good teams?
January 1, 2026 at 10:38 PM
Unsuccessful passes and open play crosses. This is a skill on the pitch issue. It's not an ideas issue.
January 1, 2026 at 10:25 PM
You said three words I agree with. "These poor players" - the issue is the squad. Call for Frank Out all you want. Nobody is walking through that door to fix this squad. Nobody. We are an undesirable destination right now, and require a squad refresh of talent. A new Manager does nothing.
