I feel like this photo of masked, armed men pepper spraying a pastor protecting his community is going to be a defining picture of this moment in America for a long, long time.

🚨 Don’t fall for the smoke and mirrors. While everyone’s focused on Elon Musk and DOGE, the real story is this: Trump’s tax cuts will add $900 billion to the deficit *every year*. $10 TRILLION in 10 years!

Even if they did make $55B in cuts, didn’t this one singular man pay $40B for a social media site? How is $55B in cuts even impressive for the supposedly richest government in the world when one man spends nearly that on a whim?
I've read most of the analyses of the DOGE 2025 "receipts" site. This, from NPR, is the best I've read so far. Some of what they claim to have cut haven't been cut, other "cuts" will incur costs down the road.

NPR says DOGE has made $2B of cuts, not $55B.

DOGE released data about federal contract savings. It doesn't add up
A new government tracker claims DOGE has saved billions from ending federal contracts. But an NPR analysis of the data finds the claimed savings don't add up.

They are so freaking weird. Why can't daddy come home and do normal stuff like give his kids a hug, go outside and play, take em out for ice cream, do chores, go over their homework, build a Lego set.

YouTubeTV is suggesting tons of FOX News shows to record even though I’ve never watched them and removed FOX News from my channel guide entirely. This feels less like an algorithm glitch and more like part of Big Tech’s pro-Trump pivot since…Monday.

Anyone else noticing this?

Kinda thinking all these huge celebrities doing these game/app commercials should tell us that we…should not be using these apps they’re endorsing. How do these companies afford these celebs?

With the drop in cable news ratings after the election, have other non-news networks seen an uptick in ratings since the election?
