That's very rough. Age comes for us all. It will hurt while you grieve, but the impact you had on each others lives will remain after you have healed. It was really awesome that you were able to be there for each other.

As a vegetarian, 1 - turkey and 8 -ham give me an easy buffer for two cuts. After that 4 - mac & cheese can go because like you said it's not a thanksgiving food.
If I had to pick a 4th it would be brutal. Green bean casserole is the least favorite, but pretending it's a green an important fiction.

Doing good. Just got past a three week writing slump. Not a break, because I working at it throughout. Persevered, waded through the marshes, and I'm out on the other side into better flowing territory I think.

And it's ok to be someone who needs help, or to focus on helping yourself to free up help for others. We're all in this together, just figure out what makes sense for your own local unique conditions and do your best.

Also remember, there are a lot of helpers in the world. Just because you see people ask for help and don't see immediate remedies to it, doesn't mean they aren't getting help from other people.
