Anecdotally speaking, from chat with customers, its rare for people to learn from their mothers. Usually grandmothers or aunts. As you say, its about patience

Proud of you too I should think

In my view, the education system is no longer fit for purpose. It needs to be completely revamped and then people with what is now defined as SEN would just be people who might need a different approach to education

And better off people having better access to help their children. I will never forget my son asking me to help his friend who had similar SEN because his friends mother could not or would not.

So so annoying. Also no sense of the beautiful things that can be created. Of the joy it brings. Of the tradition and history behind it. Of the skill, the artisans, the sheep, the spinners and dyers. Nothing except gimmick

The saddest thing about no longer living on London is that we either have to have supermarket doughnuts or I have to make them myself which never goes well

As defining for me as Elizabeth David was for my grandmother and Le Carrier for my mother (and better than both)

The only idea of Corbyns I ever thought was a good one was to have a nationalised pharmaceutical company here in the UK

Exactly this! Me and my OH were discussing it this morning. We watched back to back war movies in our childhood and teens because that’s all that was on the telly. It never made us think Hitler was a good thing! Such a ridiculous article.

Peiple were still doing this to my son in Norfolk 10 years ago. The school tried to deal with it in fairness
