This is context dependent. You may recommend something that you really love and someone else happens to not like it. Sometimes you think someone will like something and they don’t. This is a very extreme reaction.
Remember, if you recommend anything (a restaurant, a movie, a tv series, a book, music) then you are totally responsible for it, and if it sucks, you suck.
