This is such a disgusting "plan".
Can't have forest fires if we decimate the forests!
Impeccable logic right there...
WA conservationists criticize Trump's national forest logging plan
Around 59% of all national forests in the U.S. would be open for logging, including some in eastern Washington.

"Never in history has a US President ... supported an aggressor against an ally, trampled on the US Constitution, issued so many illegal executive orders, dismissed judges who stood against him... weakened all checks and balances..."

Someone had to say it. Since apparently our Congress will not.

In case you wondered, or didn't know, this is a great @oxfaminternational.bsky.social article about why USAID matters.

Sure, USAID is part of American foreign policy. But most USAID workers I know are just good people who want to help.

In the words of - ironically, Melania Trump - "we care."
What USAID does, its impact and what Trump’s cuts mean
Oxfam takes a closer look at USAID, an agency that provides critical help to the world, and the impact of Trump’s aid freeze.

BREAKING: A federal court judge said that he would order USAID not to place thousands of employees on leave at 11:59 pm Friday.

The temporary reprieve will allow for further arguments to proceed in the lawsuit brought by unions representing USAID employees.

We all want the government to be more efficient, but President Trump's attempts to kneecap the federal workforce would push out experts like those at the Bonneville Power Administration. This drives up costs for the ratepayer and puts the reliability of the Northwest grid at risk.

"Millions of lives... thousands of jobs... billions of dollars of investment... The costs of dismantling these programs - and thus perpetrating these harms - will be felt for generations to come."

Samantha Power lays things out pretty clearly. Important read.
“I am shocked by the gleeful assault perpetrated by our own government against U.S.A.I.D.’s programs and the public servants who work on them,” writes Samantha Power, the former head of the agency.

The attacks on the agency are cruel and counterproductive.

Somebody else is enjoying the rare Washington blue sky as well. Or is it the squeaky squirrel on the tree?

Okay, okay, enough of the "blue sky" thing...

Well hello there, Bluesky! And as my inaugural post, sharing my favorite blue sky in the world.

I'm sure I'm totally the first person to do this...
