My local Costco has a ton of bourbon compared to what they usually carry (some decent deals too). It’s sad to see the distilleries trying to recoup losses, but I do love a bargain.

As I start trying to organize my cluttered basement, I’m starting to feel like the old man shopkeeper in video games that peers curiously at you, before saying “oh yes… nobody’s asked for one of those in a long time, my boy…” before disappearing into the clutter, returning with a FireWire cable.

In one of the recent Fallout episodes Lucy mentions she has seen “upwards of 15 movies.” Cooper Howard was Vault-Tec’s spokesman, so it wouldn’t be a stretch to assume the movies they picked for the vault starred him, and she has yet to recognize him.

they didn’t leak it to make the shooter look innocent, but to make the victim look guilty. not guilty of a crime. guilty of having a visibly queer wife. guilty of liberalism. guilty of opposing the regime. they don’t seek to exonerate themselves, only to demonstrate who deserves to die.
In the video that the shooter took, which I believe was leaked to be exculpatory, he appears to yell “fucking bitch” after he shoots Renee Good.

I feel like an idiot that it’s taken me so long to realize I can just brew 40oz of cold brew coffee directly in the travel mug I use every day. It’s just replacing the brew bag with ice in the morning.

About to head to a friend’s birthday/NYE party. Hopefully, the pattern I’ve fallen into lately of unexpectedly falling asleep in my chair about 10:00pm and waking up to go to bed around 1:30am will not continue tonight.

The emotional whiplash of seeing the pasta sauce you buy at Costco’s price going up by $1, but then realizing the jars are now significantly bigger also, so the overall unit price has actually gone down by $0.01/oz.

My AC just kicked on because it’s so hot outside the house naturally heated up to over 72. It’s supposed to be 24 when I wake up tomorrow. This weather is insane even by Kentucky standards.

The highlight of my “simple pleasures” solo Christmas has been watching straight dudes ugly cry in reaction videos to “Heated Rivalry” episode 5. After a rough year, it’s an unexpected comfort that maybe we’ll be OK in the end.
