In case anyone cares, it was Jasmine… which is unfortunate given I’m making Indian food for dinner, but that’s far from the worst thing that’s happened today.

Oh, I worked customer support Tier 1 for 5 years, and Tier 2 for 5 years before my current job. I could write a book… I lived in fear that I’d miss a call the first 6 months at my current job (video technician) before realizing I don’t even have a work phone anymore.

I’m right on the X/Millennial border. I remember watching Sandra Bullock order a pizza online in “The Net” in 1995 and wondered why anybody would do that rather than call. I don’t think I’ve called a pizza place since 2000.

I sent out 15+ letters a couple of months ago to address an issue and very clearly stated in it that it’s easier to reach me via email but also included my phone number. Every. Single. Fucking. Response. Has been a fucking phone call.

I’ve been debating doing this too, but the only reason I have Windows on my Mac is to game. Don’t know if that’s one of your intentions here, but if it is, how’s that working out so far? I don’t imagine the Steam on Linux on Mac setup is all that common.

Yours was much worse, but I also had a similar accident about 20 years ago. Woke up to pee, right foot tangled in blanket, fell out of bed and whacked my left knee on the wood floor. Didn’t seem major at the time, but it’s been “my bad knee” ever since.

If you haven’t checked out mob.co.uk, I think you’d vibe with it. It’s a subscription, but they have a lot of good free stuff too. They also do a batch cooking series where you make a base recipe and remix it into other things throughout the week.
