How does one go about not being a picky reader?
I've read some slop I've enjoyed, but lately I try to grab books that look or sound interesting but as soon as I start them the prose causes me to immediately bounce off.
Is it a matter of taste or am I just being elitist?

It is easier to disengage from the internet (or at least delete the post I was typing) when you remember most of what you read online is written by either a literal or mental twelve year old.
