I anticipate some sticker shock on Mr. Nailor's new contract. Some team out there is watching the film and seeing potential.

The Vikings could use a corner like the Bears' Nahshon Wright, who just earned NFC defender of the month for November. His five INTs are more than the Vikings (3) have as a team.
They cut him in April after he spent the 2024 season on the practice squad.

Since J.J. McCarthy was young and unproven, the roster got ample offseason reinforcements to take the heat off him.

As things stand, J.J. McCarthy is completing 53.7% of his passes. That number dips down to 50% when targeting Justin Jefferson, a receiver capable of a catch like this one.
(For the record, I believe McCarthy will develop into a strong QB1).

Andrew Van Ginkel, who was on the practice field today, said his goal is to return from his neck injury for the #Vikings’ game in Detroit on Sunday. He said he got a concussion when he fell on his head in Chicago, which aggravated the neck injury.

Been a very difficult go for the Vikings DL.

Been a very difficult go for the Vikings DL.
Plenty of chatter during the offseason about having linemen capable of winning one-on-one battles, but that hasn't happened consistently enough.
In W1, the DL was disruptive all night but that's been a notable exception.

Good news is that MIN generating pressure but got picked on targeting safeties in the slot.
