Besides the colour scheme, changes were done to further align it to the traditional Zaku.
Since I'm a total newb at scale painting, I followed the painting workflow of professional modeler Shimizu Kei

HGUC Woundwort Psycho Blade Custom ver Coral.
The hardest part of this build is masking and painting the teeny tiny exposed "frame" and accent areas throughout the body. But I think I did a well enough job and the result is worth it.

PMHGABBICFMP - Part 4: Result.
HG Aqua Barzam ver Merman
I decided to keep Barzam's original beam gun and put it on the left arm since that area looks kinda empty without it. I also use the og Barzam's head and "muffer" for reason I'll explain below.

a bit better than i expected, actually. i have no idea how thick i should draw this whole back stabilizer part so i may need to ask the designer about that
i am also afraid of taking too long figuring out the gunfire effects i posted about previously

PMHGABBICFMP - Part 3: Masking.
One of a few things I learned about masking is to correctly assess the "leaking" risk: It's less risky to paint the "lower" areas first, mask them and then paint thing the "higher" area than the other way around.

Painting my HG Aqua Barzam because I can't find matching pair - Part 1: Sink marks.
Sink marks are unavoidable side effect of injection-molding. Plastic naturally contracs while cooling, causing the some areas to "sink" if there's a peg/detail on the other side

Some lessons I've learnt from painting this model:
1. Gaianotes' paints have more coverage than Mr.hobby's.
2. Sink marks are especially noticeable on metallic and glossy dark colors so pay extra attention to surface treatment.

As with MetalGreymon, I also pluged up the holes on the lower arms to make it less toy-like

I use Wormon since it has a rolling move in some game
