This is a long sleep now. Woke up to two hours of writhing in agonising pain until the heavens opened. I cowered in a corner of my balcony in little clothing, breathing in petrichor, and exhaling the weight of the world.

Two days of being my best* extrovert self - got invited out for a drink tonight but declined because nothing recharges your batteries like sitting in a non-descript hotel room pretending to be in a blue Gatorade commercial.

I’ve long learnt to turn self-view on video calls off. My colleague, lovingly said, ‘oh my god, you look exhausted. I really feel for you.’
I check afterwards and it’s starting to make sense why they keep thinking I’m having a stroke (I’m not having a stroke - this is my attempt at looking cheerful)

Went back to the grey weirdo place I grew up in, for the first time in over two decades. Gave history lessons on life in the 90s and quickly proceeded to (attempt to) climb the tree I hung out in most days when I was 8. It did something to me.
