After a two year search, I finally found the long-missing elements for George A. Romero’s “Day of the Dead”.
I cannot express the joy I felt when I placed the magnifier over the table and saw the first frame. That joy was for George Romero’s legacy and his sea of fans around the world.

The 90s were a trying time for British sci-fi TV. #DoctorWho returned for one night only in 1996, #Doomwatch had an all-too-brief revival in 1999, and a rebirth of #Blakes7 dragged on from 1999 to 2013 with absolutely no luck in actually getting made. The last one really hurt.

30 years ago I directed BATMAN: KNIGHTFALL, BBC Radio 1's 1st drama serial - 65 x 3'00 episodes, played between pop records with 10x our budget. The late Bob Sessions was a fantastic Batman (without the 'Keaton growl') + Michael Gough was Alfred (as in the 90s movies). Our audience loved it, hurrah.

Kenneth Johnson wanted to make a TV film about fascism coming to America but no network agreed.
So he made them *alien lizard fascists* and we got V in 1983.
