First killteam game of the year! We drew!
The venue was a local game shop who profoundly stank of pee. Brother accidentally called me "he". Hasn't happened in a while. The shop manager called me "they" which is respectful, but neither made me feel particularly pretty. But I'm getting more resilient?

FIRST PAINTED MODELS OF THE YEAR!
I tested out my new products for my guard army.
These are objective markers I kitbashed a while ago out of bits box parts.
I loved all the products and learned a lot. Id definitely wait until AFTER streaking grime to do lettering as pages came out too dark to read.

I tested out my new products for my guard army.

My weird vegan loophole is that I'll wear wool/leather/other animal products IF they're second hand.
These brushes are my favourites. They're sable hair. I bought them 8-10 years ago (pre vegan) so I like to restore them rather than buy new ones!

This month has been very shit but I've got some good hobby progress on the go! I've nearly finished my two Rogal Dorns too. I may even finish them tonight, which would make a whole Guard army in 1 month built at least! #hobbyprogress

Today's Dorn progress! Nearly done with these two! But I have now hit an exgation wall and need to go and watch the Great British pottery throwdown and be fed chips like a seal being given fish.

Had a cute day out in Perth and Kirkcaldy today. Finally tried a vegan ~eggs~ Benedict which was lovely (but the hunt for an exceptional one is still ongoing), found an adorable and well stocked FLG and had a mind-blowing (vegan) Turkish delight hot chocolate!!

I apparently won my first complete game of 40k in 2026 against @toddhammer.bsky.social today. We were both keeping track of scores and I could have sworn he won by 5 points but he brought evidence and I did get very sleepy towards the end so I'll accept my victory. Brilliant game all round!

Had a lovely day yesterday! We went to my friendly local game store @ancientrobotgames.bsky.social and found out that they have fortnightly painting hangouts which I've signed up to, and then we got lovely vegan pastries and hung out with kittens at the cat rescue my pal works at!

3 Tauroxes built! I put little plasticard windows in because I want to have a nice glow effect coming from inside the cockpit. There are much better transports in the Astra Militarum codex but I just love how Tauroxes look so much!! Little piggly wigglies!! #WIP
