I fully expect Slot to be sacked either on Thursday or next Monday because I see us dropping points in one of those. Whichever game we drop points, current CL progression & future qualification becomes at risk leading to his sacking.

Slot is done here even if he wins the CL unless he conjures up some magic that shows a style of play we would like to keep going ahead. That will not happen IMO.

I’d rather be pro-active and get a new manager in just before it becomes a lost cause. It can bring in some positivity and perhaps inspire players enough to make sure we have something left to play for.

There is no point in getting a new manager if the season is a lost cause and the players have nothing to play for.
I am afraid that we will reach that stage with Slot in the next 1 month.

Another important point is now we have a manager available who we might be interested in. The remainder of the season can be the bedding in period for him & squad in his ideas.
That will also help retain the key players. We will not appoint an interim.

And that’s why I expect Slot to be sacked if we drop points in even one of the next 2 games: Marseille, Bournemouth.
Because both are crucial to
1. Progression in this year’s CL
2. Qualification for next year’s CL
Any risk to 1 and more pertinently 2 will result in his sacking.

We will not have to endure this for more than 7 days.
Klopp earned his good process & unlucky results season at Dortmund after 6 years.
Slot hasnt here even after that win.
If LFC fail to win both the next 2 matches, Slot will be sacked within 24 hours of the match we dont win.

If LFC fail to beat Marseille, Slot sack by Thursday.
If LFC beat Marseille but dont beat Bournemouth, Slot sack by the Monday after because that will put CL qualification at genuine risk.

I switched off the TV. Not worth watching.
I am happy that I haven’t wasted my time watching LFC games at odd hours in India for the last 3 weeks.
The last time this happened was Sep-Oct 2015 under Brendan.

2. No pressing
3. Lack of sync at the back
4. Near absent midfield
5. Lack of patterns
6. Shit at setpieces at both ends
All that control is just sterile possession!
We knew a massive overhaul wouldn’t be smooth but this is shambolic! Slot is unable to figure this out.

Right now Slot’s LFC are the worst mix of Klopp & Pep’s football, not the best that a lot of articles were hyping up Slot to be.

Unless something magically clicks, Slot decides to stick to keeping things simple, constant week over week. Far cry from last season!

Slot will lose his job at LFC even if we win the next 21 PL games playing this way. Clear identity + integration of new signings will be non-negotiable while evaluating his performance this season. Even if somehow LFC scrape through to a fluke CL win, I foresee a managerial change in the summer.

1. Robbo losing his marker at the back post
2. Gomez, Bradley injury
3. CuJo - injury waiting to happen
4. Isak - injury waiting to happen
5. Frimpong looks to be in the Isak, CuJo bucket

This season feels like a never ending preseason:
1. Szobo at RB
2. Gomez/Konate being subbed for a CF
3. RB subbed for a CF
4. Isak on the left
5. Gravenberch being given the freedom of the pitch
6. Macca blowing hot & cold

Preferrably closer to central zones than on the wings!
It is getting irritating watching this swing of looking promising to dreadful week over week.
