You can play shittily and get a result. Last season’s 2-0 at the Etihad was proof. But you cannot play shittily and get a result if the refs overturn two big calls against you. Like in the other league losses this fall, Liverpool were poor but they were also unlucky. Need to get good and lucky soon.
Liverpool limited Haaland to his joint-lowest non-penalty xG in the league at home, missed two big chances and suffered two subjective VAR overturns for (I think) the first time ever.

Not sure if anybody has mentioned this but if you watch Isak for the 2nd Goal (Salah), he escapes and gets in behind the defence and can walk it into the net if Salah makes the easy square pass instead of the harder finish. And he is still showing how completely open he is for the pass after.
