Gruda's probably been the best player on the pitch. Diomande has looked good, and Wolfsburg are dead scared of him, collapsing the defense toward him whenever he has the ball, but I don't feel he's imposed himself on the game enough today for my taste.

Well, that was more like it. Incredible first touch to take the ball out of the air. Turns and shoots. Great save.
Pretty meh first half tbh characterized by RBL failing to take their chances. Diomande with some nice passes, but relatively quiet (& with a couple of silly turnovers). Hopefully, the game springs to live in the second half.

Quite enjoyed that. Yes, Brighton are playing middle schoolers on their front line, but for the first time in a long while, you could see a real structure to our play. One might also point out that Kerkez looks super fresh after getting the midweek game off, but squad rotation is for the weak!
