Liverpool til I die. Tory hater. Fool despiser. Gobshite, & sometimes amusing. I swear a lot, & I'm very opinionated. Probably not a good idea to tell me what I can post 👍 Hate writing bio's.

Those prison camps won’t fill themselves

Whether it’s Trump treating people dressed in crazy frog suits as if they were a danger to society, or the Labour government in the UK hauling grannies off to the cells for protesting against genocide, it’s a very slippery slope, & it only goes one way.

Throughout history, it’s been a case of people fighting for their rights against those who would rule them without care or mercy. Letting governments, even in this so called civilised era, take away people’s right to voice opposition to that government is backwards. Those rights won’t be given back.

Once the government (any government) proscribes a certain type of movement such as antifa, or Palestinian Action, as a terrorist organisation, they can then use that as a broad net to suppress opposition, or silence a particular viewpoint.

It’s a gross overreach of power which only leads one way.

The strangest insurrection in history 🤣 I’m in awe of this, tbh. It seems like the perfect response to the preposterous bullshit of the right wing lunatics.

Never heard of María Corina Machado before today, but she (& the Nobel Peace Prize people) are suddenly my favourite people.

Fuck Trump, the giant orange turd.

He’s nowhere near the same level as Virgil, though. That’s the point. He can’t be serious if he’s asking for parity.

Someone needs signing in January, that’s for sure. Whether that’s Guehi, I don’t know. But, it needs to happen early in January, for sure.

He gives me the heebie jeebies & I’m not even on the pitch wondering when he’s going to mess up.
emptymindz.bsky.social
I disagree. Nobody is forcing him to engage from the wrong side at the wrong times apart from himself. The only two games he’s not looked wobbly as fuck were Arsenal & Burnley. He was okay against Everton. But, he’s stunk the gaff out on the ball, & been unpredictable off it, IMO. Not a good combo.

I don’t know what you’re watching, Rich. He’s been erratic as fuck within the same game, time & time again. Getting stupid bookings because he’s made bad decisions. Spreading panic. He’s been Lovren.

Slot is a very clever manager, though. I’ve no doubt he’s been pouring over the games we’ve played this season in this international break, & has come up with a plan to iron out kinks. Players will find fitness, & form (🤞🏻). The errors will reduce & the goals will come for us.

Throw in the fact that we’ve used 3 different RB’s so far this season, & that right side of our defence simply doesn’t function. None of which is helped by Salah being completely out of form, either. That entire right side is a mess atm.

And to end on a positive note.

We’re still 2nd despite that!

The problem for me is that Konate ends up with the ball far too often. He’s instructed to look for a forward pass. He’s not very good at it. Too erratic with his mid to long range, line splitters, & therefore, an issue. This isn’t me getting on Ibou’s back, btw. It’s just not his strength.
emptymindz.bsky.social
The whole Liverpool setup this season looks designed for even more central progression than last season. We’ve even freed up Grav as an extra body to receive the ball a fair bit in response to the deep blocks & resting defences we face.
emptymindz.bsky.social
Dodgy is an understatement. He’s been poor. Very poor. On the ball & off the ball. He isn’t helped by the shenanigans at RB though, I’ll allow for that. But, he’s been the source of so many problems.
emptymindz.bsky.social
He doesn’t cover half as much space as he used to do when Trent was about, from the eye test alone. I could be wrong. I agree that we need to sort the RB situation out, though. That right side is a mess, if we’re honest.

I’ve no idea what he’s earning tbh, but atm, he isn’t worth even that. There’s no way he’s worth even £300kpw, never mind £400k plus. We’d be insane to even go close to those numbers on this current version of Ibou.
emptymindz.bsky.social
I like Konate. Always have. But, he’s not a defensive leader at the back, & as good as he can be, he can also be frigging awful. He’s bang average OTB. He isn’t Virgil (who is?) but Virgil deserves the big money because not only is he the best around & consistently so he’s also the captain & leader.
emptymindz.bsky.social
I read off a questionable source that Konate is rumoured to want to be in the highest earning bracket at Liverpool in order to consider signing a new contract.

If true, he’s made the club’s case as to why they shouldn’t give him it, so far this season.
