I feel Kung Lao should be more confrontational toward Kenshi and the other Japanese characters over JP war crimes. Raiden and Liu Kang’s forgive and forget act is understandable, but not being knowledge feels tone-deaf, and it’s not in Kung Lao’s character to forgive easily over brutal colonization

Even as a 3D era fan, I think people sometimes glaze that era too much. Shao Kahn being a former god of Outworld who nerfed himself just to poison Onaga is just wut. A ruthless war general who betrays Onaga actually fits asian tropes better, with the Dragon-emperor and Tiger-general rivalry

HC time - “Takeda” is actually his mom’s surname that he goes by as he refuses to go by his dad’s surname, since in Japan it’s more common to referred someone by their last name
I also like to renamed him “哲士” Tetsuji or Tetsushi, as it also be alternately be read as “Satoshi”

For Onaga, they can easily give make him playable by giving him a more-human/outworlder form like we saw him in MKDA Raiden’s ending while he can switch to his more iconic monstrous dragon form in fatal blows and fatalities. #mortalkombat #MK1 #MK2
