One of the things I'm thinking about is that the Chinese Yuzuru Hanyu fandom decided they wanted to do a massive Pooh rain (Winnie) for Yuzuru Hanyu on his birthday at the Grand Prix Final in 2019.
I don't think people understand that China is...incredibly big, and that fandom in China can get REALLY INTENSE.
