Here's a good question I just ran into! Sorry only if you're using Unity and C#. Working on a script, how do you divide sections of your script/ code? Do you use Regen & Endregen, or do you use the //------?

Here is a good question for the early morning! When playing any game and looking for an item. How obvious would you want the item to stand out? Should it be highlighted as soon as you step into the room or as you get closer?

You are not alone if you spent weeks trying to get a game mechanic to work.
And once you finally get it working, you see how you could do it better and have to fight the urge to not refactor.

There's been a lot of discourse related to indie gamedev the past few days and it's aggravating seeing what I do distilled down into tropes which don't apply to me because I took the solo, do-it-for-fun, long-term path. :|

How do you handle implementing a new mechanic to your game?

1) Google and copy-paste?
2) Ask for help from friends?
3) Dive into the rabbit hole and spend days trying to understand the logic?

If you can't tell, I always fall into the rabbit hole.
