TARANTULA 2: Augacephalus ezendami (Mozambique Golden Starburst Baboon Tarantula)

Baboon tarantulas are always super fun to watch hunt, and they tend to do a good amount of webbing. I hear that these are less spicy than some other baboons.

TARANTULA 1: Lasiodora klugi (Bahia Scarlet Tarantula)

The Lasiodora genus is so fun to grow up. They get BIG: max legspan is between 8”-10”! I’ve found that mine tend to love redecorating their enclosures in unique and silly ways!!

Happy Halloween!!! To celebrate, I’m gonna do a small contest!! I have two spiders that I recently adopted, and they need names! So I’ve decided to let you all give me ideas! ^w^

Rules: 🕸️ You must be 18+ to enter (solely cuz my account is 18+, even if you choose a SFW fic as ur reward) 🕸️ Comment your name idea beneath the post for the tula you wish to name! 🕸️ You can have up to two name suggestions per spider (4 names total) 🕸️ You can pick whatever name you think sounds fitting for the spider. My spiders have a very wide variety of names, so I’m pretty much open to anything. (See below for a list of spider names I already have, so you can get an idea of what kind of vibes I tend to like) 🕸️ This is meant to be a pretty chill event, not anything too serious. I literally just wanna name my tarantulas lmao 🕸️ Contest will end on 11/14, unless I get like… one submission or something. Then I’ll extend it so there’s a few more chances for winners lol. So. Introducing: Xaenthenova, the Devouring Inferno
Xaenthenova, the Devouring Inferno. She is a baby Davus sp. Panama, the Lava Tarantula. She is a tiny tarantula with a nearly-black head and abdomen and pinkish legs. She has a legspan of about .25” and she is sitting on a small clump of yellow moss that is held by a pair of tongs. Xaenthenova, still clinging to her comfort moss as she has been set down into her new enclosure atop a fake leaf. Xaen on her moss. Her little eye clusters are visible as she stares up in confusion, wondering why she is being moved around so much.
