been on omeprazole for 20+ years now, ultimately one of the proton pump inhibitors are the only thing that'll really shut it down but pepcid is good in the interim; check vs other meds and all that.

are your teeth getting weirdly sensitive?
hell-breath in the morning, or feel like you've been coughing, or weird soreness in the throat/esophagus?
stuff kinda taste like you been sucking on a penny?
(even if all of these are no, GERD is still a possibility)
can you get hands on pepcid/generic?
