For the record:
My spine.
It was broken for two years prior to the surgery that placed those screws, but not one doctor bothered to look for it. I was labeled faker, drugseeker, junkie, addict. One X-ray was all it took; none of Boston’s finest medical facilities did it. My rage matches his.
Xray-Side view of a spine with fusion at L5-S1 including four visible screws and plates in back; anterior hardware not visible. This break took 11 hours of surgery to repair and was not diagnosed for two years after a drunk driver caused it; opiophobia and arrogance made me “live” in screaming agony in all that time. Today, insurance companies and opiophobia still make my life hell; my pain is not well controlled. Back view of spinal fusion screws and plates; see previous image’s alt text for details.

$300M from MassHealth is kids not getting neurodivergence tests, people not getting drugs for various conditions, denied hospital stays for probably valid reasons, fewer community support workers... Sigh.

I went so far as to get a dvd of the series; annoyingly I don't think the Thundarr/Herculoids crossover episode is on it.

This was one of the best days of my young life…

I still say “DEMON DOGS!” and “LORDS OF LIGHT!” randomly. My brother & I introduced our old cartoons to the nephew & niece via YouTube. They loved this one…

Also, we immediately thought it was set in a post WWIII world even with the intro

Federal law prohibits ERs from treating people differently based on their ability to pay or citizenship status.

Mike Johnson: "If you're a young, pregnant American citizen women who shows up in an ER and you get treated and they pay the hospital less for treating you than some illegal rabble rouser who came in from some South American country to do us harm, that is wrong."

Really good thread, because I am frankly tired of "why haven't you left yet" etc.

Vast, vast majority of trans people aren't going to leave the country. Many can't leave the areas they're currently in.

If trans survival/liberation are something one cares about, at all, that's the reality.

So...🧵

(And no, this is not — in the main — about indviduals leaving the country).

Tramadol (dog medicine) doesn't work. Trazadone gave us dark, disturbed sleep.

My senior cohorts & I knew that those were ineffective decades ago, don't recommend them or prescribe them.

Just thought you might enjoy confirmation by the real experts.

them tall gangly guys can't do a damn thing once you get in close (skilled basketball players are the exception). they can't get my head in their armpit or elbow hook & I am NOT above getting a good grab hold while I kick their knee in. Have headbutted the package; satisfying but hurt my neck lol

I don’t have a problem with my masculinity because of my height, but “short guy syndrome” is sadly very real.
