This book looks fascinating @musefoundry.bsky.social simongros1990.com/2025/07/20/a...

When this set of ideas initially captured my attention in HS visiting Marx, they have burrowed deep into my brain such that I am always rewriting them, and always will

It's interesting there are some messages that I agree with mostly, then I take a moment to consider the source & rethink the position

To extent view driven by SV hyperefficiency drive, I think do not take yourself too seriously "preference for primitive" is wise @musefoundry.bsky.social

Very intriguing reference related to prior nostalgia essay I shared with you

@musefoundry.bsky.social I wonder if you have a view on this topic 1) will AI systems be able to automate away complicated but not complex work (90% of law, imo) 2) is it desirable if we could. Matrix of possible answers

I answered yes and yes but with massive caveat currently need a team of PhDs

An interesting comment and reply @musefoundry.bsky.social. @nilsgilman.bsky.social wrote Jayne/D&G intellectual history post recently
Desire might be to have profit w/o a body but for the moment a wild AI fantasy

The reply~ don't overimterpret unthinkingness of electorate "twas great victory"

Another rich essay where I'm hearing loud echoes to my waaaay too long 23 commentary on AI, which intuited firstness, secondness, thirdness idea w/o being aware of Peirce

@musefoundry.bsky.social oooof again

Something extremely resonant about 1983-2016 as golden age of music though it's interesting to me why not earlier 2007 seems more correct

Given way you write about it now, I wonder do you feel guilt? Could have never envisioned where take early work I suppose

A beautiful book, Out of Control, which deserves SV canon @musefoundry.bsky.social "to evolve is to surrender choices. To become something new is to accumulate all the things you will never be...bound by endless constraints but constraints give place to stand. It may be to get anywhere need a body"

Man resents being taken out of process of production not in the Modern Times factory sense but in the discovering producing sense —and intriguingly he/she becomes more "productive" more is compelled into mechanistic review discipline

But the human condition hates it. (more accurately ~80%)

Once again two excellent posts. @musefoundry.bsky.social My comment comes with a caveat~ Steven Pinker largely correct humanity might be better off if they cast off "unsound" philosopher

But always been attracted to the fernstenliebe idea "love of furthest away". Was thinking about it last night

Even billionaires can't escape the logic of discipline
interesting
Elon Musk has pulled back on political tweets with his businesses reeling, a Post analysis finds.

In February, over 50% of his X posts were about DOGE and politics and 13% mentioned Trump.

So far in May, less than 20% are political and just 3% mention Trump. www.washingtonpost.com/politics/202...

Just a beautiful essay. How to escape from this romantic ambition but not totally ie as polish poet once said keeping that which invigorates and leaving rest for devouring by world is the greatest modern puzzle

Interesting little exchange on other site @musefoundry.bsky.social

The replier is higher quality than very mid account which appears frequently in my For You. Very sharp to make game theory connection. I think the reference of 2025 might be a Curtis film What Happened to Dream of Freedom?

@musefoundry.bsky.social All Things Must Pass is very sad given that it mirrors in my view (the original Tower across from GM house) when slide of country began ~2005. Go back to area btw no bottom to slide, Dollar Tree Good Will parking lot 100000s sqft vacant across

Thinking of this too

@musefoundry.bsky.social I can't find thread but some ink was spilled on other site (not missing much) on left wing tendency for anti-AI. Predictably Leusder said yes obviously (for reasons you state in most recent post more or less Benjamin argument) then a little push back from policytensor, et al
