Republicans protecting and justifying his action don't surprise us. Keep in mind that Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene introduced a bill to award Kyle Rittenhouse the Congressional Gold Medal, which is the highest honor Congress can bestow on an individual for the killing of unarmed civilian protesters.
