"Chrome Dreams II" by Neil Young is a hodgepodge of old recordings, new recordings of old songs, and new songs. The album starts off strong with 3 '80s songs before tapering off. Due to its 20th century content, CDII is more rewarding than Neil's typical 2000s output.

I'm not going to overreact to the Penguins win today: I'm still only expecting them to be the #2 seed.

"Trill" by Bun B might be the most disappointing album I've listened to this year. The beats are almost uniformly terrible, the reliance on guest appearances badly dates the album, and Bun often seems checked out. Only the UGK recap track kept this from being a 1.

Is there any easy way to add a feed with this group? I'd love to have that as an option.

1993's "Menace II Society" is a harrowing and bleak drama that does not give or accept any excuses. Even the joy and love sprinkled throughout the movie fold back into the grim plot. Evocatively shot and painstakingly authentic, this searing film overcomes a fairly thin and disconnected plot.

"Stumble Into Grace" by Emmylou Harris is another step away from her traditional country sound. However, instead of relying more on rock, she relies on spacier and more atmospheric backing, which I don't find to be as natural of a pairing for her still beautiful voice.

"Spyboy" by Emmylou Harris captures her live shows following the release of the career defining "Wrecking Ball." While at times a bit too similar to the album versions, many of the songs stretch into new territory, creating a truly essential live album for her fans.

ICE admits that up to 50% of arrests in its Chicago raids are "collateral.” These aren't statistics. They are parents taken from their children, neighbors taken from our communities. When does a "collateral" U.S. citizen child's trauma matter? This isn't law enforcement; it's a campaign of terror.

I'm sorry, I simply refuse to believe this Steve Avery score. You're telling me ELEVEN percent of correct answers for that square were him?

"Wrong Side of Memphis" by Johnny Dowd is as creepy and unique as billed. However, the songs cover familiar ground and the production is so sparse that a (hypothetical) record exec would have been right to meddle. This is "raw" but like meat you'd need a little seasoning to get it down.

1958's "Big Deal on Madonna Street" is a warm and comedic heist film that shows a bumbling group of criminals' attempt to pull off a complicated heist. Filmed on location, the movie manages to make the gang relatable, ultimately turning into an examination of the human spirit and camaraderie.
