I want to talk about Avowed. The RPG released by Obsidian Entertainment, meant to rival other great games & I know I might cop some heat for it. Still, as a pretty consistent RPG gamer for the past two and a half decades, I can honestly say that Avowed has been a disappointing experience so far.

This aged perfectly, as we got to see Elon Musk die to the Path of Exile 2 tutorial boss multiple times, live on stream, before ragequitting and using the age-old adage "oh, we're having connection issues"...

He was showcasing the stability of Starlink as it happened, bragging about how good it is.

After playing through all of Icebrood Saga in Guild Wars 2, then being madly disappointed after learning why the final chapter was such a rushed mess that felt entirely incomplete and underdeveloped...

I then played End of Dragons to completion (the reason for that rushed mess).

My first introduction into actually playing Monster Hunter was Wilds. I purchased World but never got around to playing it due to time constraints.

Honestly, it's been an overall enjoyable experience. I can't fault the majority of the game or it's difficulty as it currently exists.

Baldur's Gate 3 needs an additional patch, where Goblins become a playable race and Saving Sazza (and various goblins) is how you get Goblin companions.

And the introduction of a new deity option for Clerics: Cleric of Maglubyiet.

January 27th, 2025 ... I returned to streaming. It's not big news, as I don't really have a following but for me it is a milestone.

I have a question regarding Diablo IV. Is there supposed to be an instant-kill trigger when leaving the church in Nostrova after revealing it's filled with cultists?

I've had two perfectly healthy HC Barbs die just by leaving the building, while no enemies are nearby and no effects to worry about.

The Witcher 3 now 100% completed, right on the day Witcher 4 has been revealed. It's a sign that I'll never escape CDProjekt games, but it's a curse I'm willing to accept.

Remnant II is now 100% Achievement unlocked, though I am still missing several items within the game. Most of these are sub-par items that cannot complete with what I've already but might make room for niche builds later.

Some days, being a completionist is a curse xD

I have now accomplished the metamorphosis build, after grinding to level 48. Which is neat, but also probably didn't need to go so hard through Blood and Wine when I haven't even really come close to finishing the base game yet lol

Been ploughing through The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt to finally complete the trilogy and I've hit that stage of the game where the choice is either I take the 100K Euphoria approach or lean more into Metamorphosis.

I'm opting for Metamorphosis as it looks more fun.

Twilight of the Gods on Netflix appears to be a visually well-constructed animation, but there is a distinct lack of exposition. You are expected to know Norse mythos to know the characters name-dropped but also recognize the adaptations at play (for example, Hœnir).

Dialogue feels stilted & bland.

Being 34 years old and working generally means I don't have time to really work on my backlog of game collections.

I still need to finish the entire Mass Effect series and then finish Dragon Age 2 & Dragon Age: Inquisition before I pick up Veilguard.

Too many good games 😭

More on the video gaming note, I've been trying to work through my backlog of Steam games as I've got roughly 500 but I've barely played half. I think I'm making some progress, but as a completionist ... I have some work to do, it seems.

I'll be happier when I'm in the 75-80% completion mark.

Currently looking at how to best cross-post on social media platforms, considering trying PowerAutomate since it's built into my personal Office account.

It'd be a neat learning experience as I'm new to PowerAutomate. Before I do though, are there better alternatives that might be recommended?
