Interestingly (to me anyway) this is an increasingly important part of my work, preserving websites that are due to vanish from lack of funding, labs shutting down, etc.
This has me reflecting on born digital history projects. In recent weeks, I tried to access a few fantastic ones—all less than a decade old—and was met with dead links.

Talking to somebody yesterday about a Cdn oral history archive that disappeared - turns out LLMs were scraping it so much it crashed their servers so it’s offline. Vile vulture technology.

I really wish sometimes I did not have 246000 different hobbies and interests and was one of the people who only had one or two hobbies. Instead of burning out on trying to fit them all in my "spare time"
